Berlingo syncs vocabulary review events and schedules; other learning progress remains in localStorage on your device.
Shadowing uses your browser's built-in speech recognition — Berlingo never stores your audio.
Berlingo has no ads and will never sell your information to a third party.
Berlingo requires Google sign-in for learning. Firebase Authentication verifies your identity; the API stores card identifiers, results and vocabulary review schedules so you can continue on another device. Vocabulary content and other learning progress are not copied into this synced data.
Berlingo uses localStorage as an offline cache. Vocabulary review schedules sync after you sign in; the remaining items stay on this device:
